Role Overview
We are seeking a Powered Access PDI Engineer to join our Powered Access division. In this role, you will perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs), maintenance, and repairs on our extensive fleet of over 300 powered access machines. Our fleet includes industry-leading brands such as JLG, Genie, Dingli, Nifty Lift, Snorkel, and Pop Up, with equipment capable of reaching heights of up to 22 meters.
Initially, this role will be based in our depot, with opportunities for career progression to CAP Engineer status. Fast-track development is available for candidates with relevant qualifications and experience.
As an IPAF+ approved company, 85% of our fleet is battery-powered, and the remaining 15% is hybrid or bi-energy, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform PDIs, including washing and preparing equipment for hire.
* Maintain and service powered access equipment to the company’s high standards.
* Conduct inspections in line with manufacturers' specifications and highlight safety concerns.
* Collaborate with the hire desk to ensure equipment availability and meet customer demands.
* Refurbish equipment to maintain fleet quality and reliability.
* Complete all engineering paperwork accurately and promptly.
Skills and Qualifications
* IPAF Demonstrator qualification (3A and 3B).
* 4 years plus experience of performing PDIs on powered access equipment.
* Completed various manufacturers' courses.
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Positive, proactive, and self-motivated approach.
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Work Schedule
* Full-time: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am–5:00 pm (45 hours per week).
