In this role, you will be leading development within the borough, using your design skills to seek high-quality developments that meet the growth agenda.
You will provide professional advice to a range of interested parties on complex, controversial, and major planning applications.
You will manage and advise a team of planning officers, heritage and tree experts, along with technical staff. In addition, acting where needed as deputy to the development management and conservation manager.
Up-to-date knowledge of relevant law, policies, working practices, and procedures is required, as well as strong negotiation, design, decision-making, and judgement skills.
You will be able to provide a high-quality service to our customers.
