SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Wolverhampton
Education Personnel are working with an independent special school in Wolverhampton that supports students with varying needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including but not limited to:
1. Providing individual and small group support: Assisting pupils with learning activities, providing one-to-one support, and implementing differentiated learning plans.
2. Creating and maintaining a supportive learning environment: Contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils.
3. Communicating effectively: Maintaining regular communication with teachers, parents/carers, and other professionals regarding pupil progress and well-being.
4. Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs: Implementing strategies to support pupils' social and emotional development and manage challenging behaviour.
5. Assisting with practical tasks: Supporting pupils with personal care needs, preparing learning materials, and maintaining classroom resources.
6. Contributing to the wider school community: Participating in school events and activities and contributing to the overall well-being of the school.
