Role Summary
The Global Finance Director serves as the senior financial leader, responsible for financial strategy, governance, and operations across multiple regions.Reporting to the COO, this role oversees all financial activities, ensuring compliance, managing risks, and driving business performance.The Finance Director will lead a global finance team, working closely with senior executives to align financial planning with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
* Develop and execute financial strategies to support business growth and sustainability.
* Partner with senior leadership to drive financial decision-making and optimize performance.
* Lead and mentor a high-performing global finance team, fostering collaboration and excellence.
* Oversee payroll, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure financial health.
Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to align with strategic objectives.
* Oversee the preparation and review of monthly management accounts, board reports, and audits.
* Provide financial insights to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
* Establish key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to track efficiency and profitability.
Treasury & Cash Management
* Maintain oversight of cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation to support operational needs.
* Develop and implement strategies for effective cash management across multiple regions.
* Optimize the company’s financial structure in collaboration with leadership.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
* Ensure adherence to international financial regulations and compliance standards.
* Implement and enforce financial governance policies to maintain transparency and accountability.
* Serve as a key advisor on risk mitigation, corporate governance, and financial control measures.
Operations & Systems Improvement
* Lead the adoption of financial technology to enhance reporting, automation, and decision-making.
* Drive efficiency through continuous process improvements and cost optimization strategies.
* Align financial systems and operations with the evolving needs of a growing global organization.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience, ideally in a global or multi-entity environment.
* Chartered accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) preferred.
* Strong strategic thinking with hands-on financial management expertise.
* Proficiency in financial reporting systems and ERP software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Oracle, X-Ledger).
* Experience with international accounting standards and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
