Finance AssistantMorgan Hunt is working with a College in Ilkeston to recruit a Finance Assistant. This is a part-time role, requiring 22.2 hours per week (Tues - Thurs), paying up to £17 Umbrella and will be based on site.
Job Purpose
To maintain an efficient cashier function, credit control, and sales/purchase ledger support for the College and its subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:
1. Cashiering and Receipting: Receive and process payments from various college departments, ensuring proper cash handling, reconciliation, and preparation for banking.
2. Ledger Management: Input and process sales ledger invoices, post and allocate sales ledger receipts, and support purchase ledger functions as needed.
3. Reconciliations: Reconcile till records, credit card transactions, and bank accounts, ensuring accuracy across all financial records.
4. Credit Control and Debt Recovery: Assist in credit control duties, debt collection, and liaising with departments to resolve outstanding payments.
5. Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous service to both internal and external customers, helping resolve queries as they arise.
