Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team in providing care and assistance to children. You’ll be joining a dedicated team who have a passion for the important work we do. With varied tasks each day, we are looking for adaptable, motivated, and hard-working individuals who will have a positive impact upon our children.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess strong communication skills. This role involves supporting children in various activities and ensuring their well-being.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Provide high-quality guided therapeutic care to young people.
2. Work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure our young people’s needs are met, and they receive the appropriate level of care.
3. Establish safe and favourable living conditions for young people.
4. Establish behavioural boundaries for young people.
5. Provide recreational and creative opportunities.
6. Instruct daily life skills.
7. Communicate effectively with children and provide emotional support.
8. Assist in implementing care plans and activities for children.
9. Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and reporting.
10. Support children in their daily routines and childcare needs.
11. Drive children to appointments or activities when required.
What we are looking for:
1. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, or working towards.
2. Previous experience working with children is essential.
3. Excellent communication skills to interact with children effectively.
4. Proficiency in IT for maintaining records and reports.
5. Familiarity with care plans and childcare practices is advantageous.
6. A valid driving licence.
7. Passion and enthusiasm from day one.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
Education:
* GCSE or equivalent (required).
Experience:
* Residential Childcare: 1 year (preferred).
* Support Environment: 1 year (required).
Licence/Certification:
* NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred).
* Driving Licence (required).
