A client facing Business Analyst working within Unisys Financial Services - Mortgages and Savings solutions involved in the full project life-cycle. Primary focus will be working with development teams in a scrum format to ensure functional changes meet business requirements. The project includes the definition, review and implementation of a range of requirements for a Mortgages and Savings servicing solution. The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of the Financial Services Solutions Delivery team, and interfacing to the client and third-party (vendor) providers delivering the project. Working with development teams in a Scrum setting to develop solutions meeting client requirements. Assisting in the creation of User Stories and providing business input into designs, test scripts and other documentation. Fills a functional role to analyse requirements and build quality solutions that meet the requirements and advises clients on Unisys Solution offerings, designs, implementation approaches and alternatives Works with client business & technical staff during the requirements definition and implementation to finalise requirements and resolve issues Identifies opportunities for follow-on business and assists in creating change orders Provides input to technical estimates created with standards tools, portfolio Work Breakdown Structures, statements of work and industry standard estimating techniques Analyses and evaluates client requirements against portfolio offerings and performs build vs. buy analyses Supports the analysis and modelling of client environments including business interactions, processes, organisational structures, business goals, etc. Is responsible for the solution integrity within the assigned solution area for the engagement Maintains knowledge of technologies, industry trends, standards and analysis techniques Provides input on implementation status and changes to risks, estimates or schedule Collaborates with BA peers to efficiently resolve requirements issues, improve requirements quality and share high quality Key Qualifications Ideally have experience in the following areas: Must have experience of working in Financial Services (either having worked as a technology/software supplier or for a financial services firm) Previous experience as a business analyst in a client-facing capacity (e.g. having worked for a software vendor, software consultancy or solution provider) Industry knowledge of the Mortgages and Savings domain, with broader financial services working knowledge Understanding of the regulatory and competitive impacts on Mortgages and Savings Proven problem solving and analytical skills Leading workshops, defining requirements, defining business processes (BPM / Business Process Mapping As-is) Ability to work on own initiative Familiar with project management concepts including agile development, project scheduling, risk management, estimation, Work Breakdown Structures, requirements management / traceability, Change Management Business Analysis certification (e.g., BCS Business Analysis Diploma) Key Skills Knowledge of Scrum, User Story creation and software development. Relevant IT implementation experience. Sufficient exposure to clients across a variety of industries and domains Problem solving and analytical Persuasive and influential Strong business acumen Business modelling (e.g. Business Process Swim-lanes) Requirement analysis and definition (Use Cases / Business Requirement Specifications) Ability to facilitate client workshops Strong communications skills with the ability to interface with all levels of internal and client project teams. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
