Sharp Consultancy are representing a market leader in who are an exciting, growing group business. This business is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join their finance team.
This is a pivotal growth hire, which will report directly to the Financial Controller and oversee an Assistant Management Accountant. The primary reason for this opportunity is to bring the accounts for a portfolio of entities in-house, ensuring day-to-day management. Additionally, the role will provide essential commercial support to stakeholders, driving financial efficiency and strategic growth across the group.
You will be responsible for:
* Production of monthly management accounts including a mixture of simple SPVs as well as more complex sets.
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Preparation of VAT returns.
* Assisting with preparation of cash flow forecasts.
* Assisting in the annual audit process.
* Proactively develop an understanding of the requirements of the business, by developing strong working relationships with colleagues, and strive to meet these requirements.
* Work closely with the Financial Controller to identify and improve systems and processes to improve the overall efficiency of the team and business.
* Assisting with the production of cash flow and P&L forecasts.
* Collaborate with all commercial colleagues to ensure they have what they need and the information they have is accurate and up to date.
* Work on projects as required and always maintain up-to-date knowledge on changes and developments relevant to the role.
* Commit to best practice and promote continuous improvement and innovation.
