The Opportunity I am seeking an experienced Care Home Manager on behalf of my client to oversee the day-to-day operations of this medium-sized nursing home. The successful candidate will ensure regulatory compliance, maintain high-quality care standards, and foster a positive, safe environment for residents and staff alike. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Management : Lead and manage a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care. Foster a supportive, positive working environment that encourages professional growth and high staff morale. Ensure effective communication between staff, residents, and their families to maintain a harmonious atmosphere. Care Quality and Compliance : Ensure care provision meets the standards set by regulatory bodies, including CQC. Regularly review and update care plans to meet the individual needs of each resident. Conduct audits and implement quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of care. Operational Management : Oversee daily operations to ensure the smooth running of the home. Manage the homes budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and staff. Ensure the home is well-maintained and provides a safe, welcoming environment for residents and visitors. Resident and Family Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with residents and their families, addressing any concerns in a timely and empathetic manner. Organize and oversee activities that enhance the quality of life for residents. Business Development : Promote the home within the local community and develop positive relationships with external stakeholders. Ensure occupancy levels remain high through effective marketing and relationship management. Qualifications and Experience : Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or in a similar leadership role within the care sector. Expertise in dementia care, nursing, and residential care. Registered Manager's Award (RMA) or NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care Management (or equivalent). In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance standards. Strong leadership and team management skills. Financial management experience, with the ability to manage budgets effectively.
