Job Description Special Buying Purchasing Assistant – Fixed Term Contract GENERAL SUMMARY: This role will suit someone focused on being part of a team to control and improve the efficiency of the departments’ activities. You will be capable of managing an open order book across a range of approved suppliers and approximately 10,000 SKUs. Focused on timely order delivery and proactive communication to the Specialty Buyers on supply chain risks. You will be highly organised with the ability to carry out several tasks in parallel with differing priorities and differing timescales. You will be familiar with customs processes and inbound freight terms whilst ensuring the organisation complies with relevant import regulations and processes. Having strong Excel skills is a distinct advantage but can be developed with the good internal training we can provide. Physical Activities: This position will be working in an office environment, utilizing typical office equipment. The majority of the work will be performed utilizing computers. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 1-3 years Administration experience preferably within Purchasing of an International multi-based company. Education: A good level of education. Specialised knowledge and skills: Experience of an ERP system Experience of Microsoft Outlook, Excel (Advanced preferable), PowerPoint, and Word Other: European languages would be an advantage but not essential.
