Our client is currently recruiting for a QA Advisor. Based in Aberdeen, the role is on a permanent, full-time basis.
ROLE
Based in Aberdeen, the QA Advisor is responsible for assisting our project teams and service teams with all project documentation and will own and drive the process for certification receipt, review, endorsement, and control, including collation and compilation of MRBs (Manufacturing Records Books), MMP's (Material Movement Packs), and ITP's (Inspection and Test Plans). They will also have responsibility for supporting HSE Legal and Regulatory compliance for the business unit to ensure the worksite is fully compliant with legal HSEQ obligations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Attending and contributing to project Kick Off Meetings and Pre-Production Meetings to ensure that the QA requirements are defined and understood for the project.
2. Development and implementation of project quality plan.
3. Collate and compile Certification Data Books / MRBs for issue to clients.
4. Ensuring compliance with client requirements.
5. Review supplier documents such as Inspection & Test Plans, MRB indexes, MRBs and endorse with approval code as applicable.
6. Review of material certification, welding, NDE, other special processes, etc.
7. Assist with Workpacks, review, final sign off, etc.
8. Actively participate in identifying and raising Lessons Learned, Quality Observations and Improvement opportunities.
9. Coordinate/conduct quality induction and quality awareness programs. Assist with the development and implementation of quality-related initiatives.
10. Work closely with project team on escalation of quality issues, ensuring that failure event cases are reported and investigated utilizing industry recognized Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques. Leads incident investigation team as required.
11. Review Quality statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
12. Provide assurance for the Management of Change (MOC) process.
13. Assist in the execution of the Audit Schedule for the Business Unit in line with the IMS and Project Requirements.
14. Maintain the IMS, which conforms to the requirements of the following International and Industry Standards: ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
15. Contribute to management of the non-conformance process and ensure all outcomes and learnings are captured.
16. Work with the wider QA Team to develop Group standard documents and assessments.
17. Identify and promote positive trending of performance - Identifying areas of concern, suggested improvements as well as positive behaviours.
18. Take on any additional tasks and mini projects, assist in other functions if required.
19. Deputise for the HSEQ Manager as and when required.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Previous experience working as a Quality Professional within projects and operations.
2. Be able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines.
3. Current working knowledge of the industry and the willingness to expand/develop knowledge.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of quality standards: ISO 9000 Series, ISO 10005, BS EN 10204.
5. Basic knowledge of NDE practices, welding, pressure testing.
6. Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills.
7. Prepared to show initiative, propose solutions rather than highlight problems.
8. Enthusiastic, and willing to accept new challenges, flexibility and adaptability.
9. Proven problem-solving skills, analytical and systematic working approach.
10. Experience of managing COSHH.
Education and Experience
1. ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Certification (Essential).
2. Experience in maintaining an Integrated Management System (Essential).
3. Experience in the creation/review of Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs) or Data Books (Essential).
4. Experience in the creation/review of Inspection & Test Plans (ITP's) (Required).
5. Experience in a project driven environment (Essential).
6. Proficient with Microsoft applications (Essential).
7. Creation and implementation of Risk Assessments (Desirable).
8. Document control experience (Desirable).
9. Experience in continuous Improvement / Improvement Projects (Desirable).
10. Formal Quality Assurance Qualification (Desirable).
11. Root Cause Analysis Training (Desirable).
12. IOSH Managing Safely (Desirable).
