We are currently recruiting for a Technical Services Representative to join our Technical Services team based at our site in Glenrothes. Position Summary: The Technical Services Representative (TSR) is responsible for assisting both Technical Services and Customer Service departments in responding to Customer needs. The TSR will be the primary contact for answering basic technical Customer questions and recommending solutions relative to Leviton products. Essential Functions: Responds to all basic technical enquiries on Leviton product lines via all media channels as directed by Line Manager. Communicates problems and needs of the Customer to other departments within the organisation, i.e Marketing, Sales, Product Managers, Engineers, Quality Assurance etc. Provides a timely response to pre- and post-sale caller questions of a technical nature. These questions may come from: Field Sales, Customer Service, Distributors, Contractors, Specifier, Architects etc. Communicates relevant product issues with CRM, Customers, end users and various areas within the Leviton organisation regarding product information, specifications, and applications of new and existing products. Manage cross reference requests. Help specify Leviton products, inclusive of answering questions concerning installation or use, according to individual Customer needs. Assist Customer Service by supporting Customer technical caller requirements of a basic nature. Assist Applications Engineers to resolve technical issues such as Corrective Action Reports, Specification Review and Design Review. Support the Company’s Quality programme as directed by Line Manager. Provide Warranty Programme support, including all activities related to installer agreements, training, invoicing, student enrolment, communication with installers, warranty approvals and updating relevant databases. Responds to requests for Blolite kits, fulfils requests and maintains records. Processes SmartPatch software, deliver and template requests. Support the Applications Engineers with product and application testing. Review Marketing material as needed. Coordinate with Line Manager on daily emails. Perform other duties as needed for the success of the business. Additional Responsibilities: Processes Make-To-Order (MTO) review and approval (after a period of training) Education, Knowledge, Skills, Training, and Experience: Education Relevant Engineering Degree would be beneficial or a minimum of five years industry experience. Experience Operating in a fast-paced environment to challenging deadlines. Background in Manufacturing preferred. Experience in Customer Service and/ or product support desirable Experience of working in a technically related industry preferred Experience in telecommunications and/or data communications highly desirable Skills Strong communication skills both in terms of written and verbal communications. Excellent organisational and planning skills. Excellent Technical problem-solving skills Can demonstrate the ability to prioritise, multitask whilst retaining attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work both as part of a team and under own initiative. Flexible and proactive approach to workload. Has a sense of ownership, sound judgement in analysing and recommending solutions. Strong experience of using MS Office Work Environment/Physical Demands: Fast paced office environment.
