* Build a strong relationship with the main sector trade bodies and engage regularly with other industry stakeholders.
* Work collaboratively across Department for Business and Trade (DBT) HQ teams who have an interest in the sector to understand cross-cutting issues that impact the logistics system, such as airports, rail, maritime, automotive, skills, planning, and supply chain resilience.
* Work collaboratively across government departments, bringing business intelligence to the table to influence policy development and support to achieve growth in the sector.
* Lead on drafting briefings and correspondence (including parliamentary) to support the relationship between industry, Ministers and government officials.
* Develop an understanding, and create materials in support, of UK investment opportunities to support regional development, with input from DBT investment and regional colleagues.
* Work with investment colleagues to support the delivery of strategically important logistics projects.
* Have the potential to take on management responsibilities.
