Job Title: Practice Development Officer Liverpool Council Location: Local working arrangement (minimum 3 days per week on-site)Contract Type: 3-month contract minimumEmployment Type: Limited company statusRate: £42 per hourJoin Our Team as a Practice Development Officer We are seeking an experienced and registered Children’s Social Worker to join our Workforce Development Team in a pivotal role. As a Practice Development Officer, you will play an essential part in supporting and mentoring our learners, delivering high-quality training, and promoting good practice throughout the organisation.Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver bespoke training programmes for:
o Newly Qualified Social Workers
o ASYE programme participants
o Social Work Apprenticeships
o Step-Up to Social Work candidates
* Design and lead comprehensive training sessions, leveraging your expertise in:
o Children’s legislation
o Case management
o Policies, frameworks, and procedures
* Supervise and mentor members of the social care workforce
* Support and collaborate with Practice Educators
* Promote and advocate for best practice across the organisation
* Contribute to quality assurance by participating in audits and improvement strategies
* Work collaboratively to implement continuous professional development strategies for our social care workforce
Requirements
* Registered Children’s Social Worker (Social Work England)
* Experience in a Practice Development Officer role or similar
* Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high-quality training
* Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work both independently and within a team
* In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks
