Salary: M1 £32,304 - UP3 £49,934 (Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine)
We currently have a vacancy for Lecturer in Forestry and Conservation at Coleg Cambria’s Llysfasi campus. In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to inspire our level 1 to 3 learners in forestry, arboriculture, and conservation topics. Through engaging lectures and practical sessions, you will cover a wide range of topics, including forest ecology, arboriculture, tree care, silviculture, sustainable forest management, and the principles of conservation and estate management.
Collaborating with colleagues, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of the curriculum, ensuring that it aligns with industry standards and prepares students for successful careers in forestry, arboriculture, and conservation. You will integrate emerging technologies and innovative teaching methodologies, providing students with a comprehensive and up-to-date education.
Creating an immersive learning environment, you will engage students in fieldwork, practical exercises, and conservation projects, fostering a deep appreciation for nature, wildlife conservation, and sustainable land management practices. You will guide students in developing practical skills relevant to their respective disciplines, such as tree identification, habitat assessment, and wildlife management techniques.

Essential Requirements
1. Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, C&G 7407) or be working towards
2. Educated to a minimum Level 5 qualification
3. Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments
4. Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment
5. Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
