This is a rare opportunity for a motivated and organised individual to join our small but friendly HR&OD team and play a significant role in recruiting and retaining excellent staff. Our team holds the whole Human Resources and Organisational Development portfolio, so the role offers opportunities to support a wide range of activities from day-to-day HR queries to recruitment, organising our training provision, supporting workshops, co-ordinating our apprenticeship programme, budget administration, lead on HR systems, as well as involvement with our health and wellbeing agenda. We’re looking for someone who has: Experience working in an office environment, particularly within a HR department The ability to balance a varied workload A focus on providing a great service across the council Strong digital skills with an eye for detail Effective communication skills at all levels In return, we offer a role which gives scope for development for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in HR, and support can be offered for formal study towards a CIPD qualification.
