Role: SC Cleared Project Manager
Salary/Rate: £50 - 58 ph (inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid Glasgow - 3 days p/w on site
Contract Duration: 6 months
A Project Manager with a project engineering background in a highly regulated environment is required by a consultancy working with some of the biggest government, infrastructure, defence, and security projects in the UK.
This Project Manager role is hybrid based between working 3 days per week in Glasgow and the remainder of the week working remotely.
Security Clearance: Security Check ('SC Clearance')
The Project Manager role will be a 6-month contract, paying £50 - £58.50 ph inside IR35, depending on experience.
Essential skills/experience required:
* Proven background in engineering design and construction in a nuclear/marine environment
* At least 3 years of hands-on experience with NEC4 ECC (Engineering and Construction Contract)
* At least 3 years of hands-on experience with NEC4 PSC (Professional Services Contract)
* Minimum 3 years leading projects in highly regulated industries as a Project Manager
* Full project lifecycle experience, from business case approval to design, execution, and handover
* Experience in managing change control processes
* Expertise in risk management practices
* Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM)
* Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
* CEMAR experience
* APM PMQ (or equivalent) recognised level of competence in Project Management - desirable
Role Profile / Responsibilities:
* Delivery of assigned packages of work as per the NEC4 contract conditions
* Cost and schedule performance of assigned work packages
* Risk management
* Delivery of project management and contract administration through the project life cycle
* Ensuring that there is a common understanding of requirements and scope, programme, costs, constraints, risk and interfaces across the team
* Leading the project team - building, motivating, maintaining, coaching, guiding, and developing the team
* Deliver governance arrangements for projects within corporate and business policies, directives, guidance, and procedures to ensure a robust outcome
* Manage the project within agreed budgets
* Administer and negotiate change control from inception through to completion
