Main duties of the job:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a learning disability assessment and treatment service and will assist the Team Leader in maintaining effective team working processes.
1. Registered Nurses must be able to exercise a considerable degree of initiative, possess mature judgment and maintain a calm, friendly and efficient manner when dealing with patients, their relatives, colleagues, and visitors.
2. You will be required to work independently using initiative, and apply a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism to your work.
3. You must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, manage competing demands, and organize your own work in meeting deadlines in order for the smooth running of the ward area.

1. To work in close collaboration with other professionals in an Assessment & Treatment environment in assessing patients' needs, devising Person Centered care plans and evaluating outcomes that promote patient empowerment through the process.
2. You, with the wider Multi-disciplinary Team, will be expected to participate in the Assessment & Treatment to provide high quality, individualised care, which addresses the needs and wants of adolescents and adults with learning disabilities and/or overlapping psychiatric disorders or challenging behaviours.
