University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust
A number of opportunities have arisen for dedicated and committed midwives to join the community midwifery team.
Community midwifery supports a wide geographical area. There are 5 community hubs based in community settings. Community midwives benefit from working within small, well-led teams. Each midwife has an allocated caseload and we maximise locality working by utilising children's centres, community hospitals and public buildings.
* To maintain your intrapartum skills you will be supported to work on the Midwife Birth Centre for 1 shift each alternate week.
* We are looking for midwives who already have a PIN number and are passionate about delivering high quality, safe care to women.
* We have permanent contracts for enthusiastic midwives to provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.
* You will need to be versatile and have excellent communication skills. Team working is an essential part of the role.
* There is an expectation that the role will involve unsociable hours and on call.
Main duties of the job
The midwife will participate in high quality care for women and their families, also providing mentorship and professional support to enable students and maternity support workers to do the same.
