The Chief of Staff will act as a force multiplier, ensuring the CEO’s vision is executed efficiently and effectively, while also anticipating and solving problems before they escalate. What does your day-to-day look like: • Strategic Partnership: You must be adept at working closely with the CEO to prioritise tasks and initiatives, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure alignment with company goals and the CEO’s vision. Your primary responsibility will be to clear the CEO’s path, remove distractions, and prevent problems from reaching their desk. • Force Multiplier: You should have the capability to amplify the CEO’s impact by managing key initiatives, streamlining decision-making processes, and ensuring the executive team is focused on the CEO’s priorities. You will need to anticipate needs and deliver solutions before issues arise. • Proactive Problem-Solving: We are seeking a Chief of Staff who can actively scan for signs of complications, disputes, and other concerns that could develop into bigger problems. You should be skilled in implementing processes and policies to prevent issues from escalating, allowing the CEO to focus on driving the highest impact. • Confidentiality and Discretion: The expectation would be that you handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion, acting as a gatekeeper and confidant to the CEO. Deep trust and the ability to act as an extension of the CEO’s leadership are essential. • Delegation and Coordination: Being proficient in delegating tasks that do not require the CEO’s personal attention, ensuring that all components of the organisation operate in harmony. You will need to oversee and orchestrate work across teams to create order from chaos. • Organisational Alignment: The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between the CEO and other executives, staff, and stakeholders. You must ensure cohesive communications, both internal and external, and maintain alignment across the leadership team. • Operational Efficiency: We are looking for someone who can develop and implement operational processes to improve efficiency and scalability. You will oversee keyprojects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. • Support Business Growth: You should play a pivotal role in expanding into new markets, including the Middle East and Northern Ireland. Your responsibilities will include assisting with financial control, budget forecasting, cash flow forecasting, and supporting sales activities and customer relationships. • Communication and Feedback: You must provide honest and candid feedback to the CEO, acting as a sounding board and advisor. Helping the CEO maintain a clear vision and measure success through continuous improvement will be crucial.
