About the role
Reporting to the Academic People and Partnerships Manager, this pivotal role will facilitate lessons to students undertaking their Postgraduate/Bachelor’s/Graduate Diploma studies in ECE.
This is a multifaceted role, including tutoring, mentoring, lecturing, and supporting students throughout their early childhood teacher education studies.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Tutoring, mentoring, lecturing
* Field visits to conduct observation of students carrying out their placements
* Marking / Assessing
* Supporting students via online discussion forums
* Research duty (NZTC is PBRF-approved)
About you
The successful applicant will have:
* Knowledge of and a passion for increasing quality care and education in the early childhood sector in Aotearoa / New Zealand
* Expertise in an early childhood curriculum area
* New Zealand Teacher Registration
* Experience in teaching and/or mentoring adults
* New Zealand driver licence - Full
* A qualification at postgraduate level in early childhood education or related discipline is preferred
