Job Title: Economic Regulatory Policy Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an Economic Regulatory Policy Manager to join the Strategy & Regulation team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.
Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working (1-2 office days a week - Bradford)
Work Type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

We provide essential water and wastewater services to every corner of the Yorkshire region, ensuring over 5.4 million people have access to clean and safe drinking water.
Role Purpose:
The purpose of the Economic Regulatory Policy Manager role is to provide expert regulatory policy insight and analysis; help the business to develop its understanding of new regulatory requirements and opportunities; and respond to regulators to shape the implementation of policy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the production of regulatory submissions to the economic regulator, including consultation responses and calls for evidence.
* Provide expert policy advice and analysis relating to regulatory consultations.
* Lead and coordinate virtual teams of cross-business experts and stakeholders for key regulatory policy projects.
* Influence and shape emerging policy by working closely with the business.
* Represent the company to Ofwat and participate in sector-wide organisations.
* Produce regular Board reports and communication materials.
* Support the development of content and documentation for the Price Review for regulated markets.
* Engage and influence colleagues at all levels regarding the regulatory framework.
* Scope and commission expert external consultancy as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Degree qualification or equivalent.
* Experience and knowledge of regulatory frameworks in the UK.
* Good analytical skills and ability to interpret regulatory policy implementations.
* Excellent communication and report writing skills.
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a matrix programme management environment.
* Dependable and diligent in working to tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
* In-depth knowledge of the UK water sector and regulatory issues.
* Experience with markets and competition, behavioral or environmental economics.
* Commercial awareness of regulatory and legal implications.
