English Teacher - Ilford (Outer London Pay Scale)
Teaching Personnel's PWR team are seeking a qualified, passionate, and inspiring English Teacher to join a high-achieving and supportive secondary school in Ilford. This role offers the chance to inspire students and foster a love of literature and language, developing their critical thinking and analytical skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, contributing to the school's literacy initiatives, and assessing and monitoring student progress.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, incorporating a variety of teaching strategies.
* Develop students' critical thinking and analytical skills, encouraging them to question and explore literary texts.
* Contribute to the school's literacy initiatives, promoting a love of reading and writing across the school.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies to support their individual development.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and effective approach to teaching and learning.
* Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and engagement.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
* Contribute to extracurricular activities.
* Participate in relevant professional development opportunities.
* Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
