The Role
Based in Wallacetown, Invercargill, the Business Administration Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Hub’s business support and finance function. Supporting our people (from directors to researchers and our farm team) will be a core focus of the role and you’ll need to be adept at managing relationships and servicing the diverse needs of external and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
1. All accounts payable and receivable duties along with most data input activities;
2. Payroll management and transactions;
3. Preparing IRD returns and fuel excise duty refund applications;
4. Coding, reconciliation and reporting of transactions;
5. Ensuring our people management and health and safety are industry leading and supporting the team to deliver our commitment to best practice;
6. Business information management and reporting, with a focus on continuously improving business support operations through robust processes;
7. Office management, ensuring the smooth, efficient delivery of support services;
8. Board services and acting as an executive assistant to the General Manager.

You will:
1. Have successfully delivered best practice management of people, accounts and payroll in a similar role;
2. Be organised and driven with the ability to self-manage and prioritise to meet deadlines;
3. Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to high work standards;
4. Use your excellent communication and relationship building skills to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction;
5. Be focused on continuous improvement of business information management through robust processes;
6. Have a strong affinity for the primary sector.
