Play a key role in traffic data analysis and management to provide evidence-based support for improvements to safety and active travel on Gloucestershire’s road network.
About The Team & Role
As a key member of our team, you will compile, validate, and analyse collision, traffic, and transport data. Your work will support the implementation of council strategies aimed at reducing road traffic casualties, improving highway infrastructure, and reviewing the Local Transport Plan. You will develop comprehensive datasets to help provide a deeper understanding of the county's priorities, risks, and challenges, ensuring that road safety and transport targets are effectively monitored and reported.
In this role, you will respond to data requests from both internal and external stakeholders, providing high-quality data with timely delivery. You will assist in managing the county's collision and traffic databases and conduct thorough research and evaluations.
You will analyse data, produce reports, and communicate findings to clients and stakeholders. Additionally, you will assist in financial administration duties related to traffic data procurement.
About You:
We are looking for a motivated individual with some experience in data analysis. You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
You should be highly numerate, literate, and computer literate, with strong organisational skills and the ability to work to challenging deadlines. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. You will be a team player, eager to share responsibilities, knowledge, and ideas, and able to work respectfully and effectively with others, even in challenging environments. As a minimum, you will be able to use Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
