Temporary Income Officer - Revenue & Benefits

Pay Rate: £17.59 per hour PAYE
37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
This opening assignment is for 3 months
City: RUGBY
Basic DBS disclosure required
Hybrid – 4 days a week in the office
Income officer to collect rent on patch based structure. Manage rent accounts within an assigned area, ensuring consistent and professional communication with tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct outreach to discuss rent payments, arrears, and arrange manageable payment plans.
Provide support to tenants facing financial challenges, connecting them with relevant welfare and support services as needed.
Collaborate with tenancy support and welfare teams to sustain tenancies and reduce arrears.
Prepare reports and maintain accurate records to support the council’s income collection goals.
Key requirements:
Proven experience in income collection, housing management, or a related field.
Experience working with vulnerable individuals and providing support in challenging situations.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
