Are you a skilled electrician looking for a dynamic and rewarding career? As an electrician at Z-Tech, you will be responsible for delivering specific tasks under the requirements for electrical installations and maintenance, ensuring compliance with The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and subsequent regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver electrical installations and maintenance tasks.
2. Work in compliance with industry, British, International, and customer standards.
3. Read, understand, and interpret relevant drawings, schedules, and schematics.
4. Order and collect the correct components for work activities.
5. Advise management and clients on potential hazards.
6. Test and inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components.
7. Diagnose and solve malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools.
8. Produce detailed reports of work completed.
9. Respond promptly to faults and rectify where possible.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
1. Electrical testing, maintenance, and installation experience.
2. Time served electrical apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 (Electrical discipline) trained or international equivalent.
3. Strong IT skills, specifically with Microsoft Office packages.
4. Ability to plan and coordinate effectively without supervision.
5. Knowledge and experience of planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
6. High attention to detail and degree of accuracy.
7. Commercial/Industrial LV Electrical (<1000 VAC/<1500VDC) experience.
Additional Requirements:
1. Highly motivated with a can-do attitude.
2. Excellent communication skills with both internal colleagues and external customers.
3. Confident self-starter with sound judgement.
4. Ability to work well within a team and independently as required.
5. Full valid driving licence.
6. Willingness to travel to customer premises and work away for periods of time.
