The Opportunity
Given our clients’ increased project expansion, they are currently seeking to expand their talented team of process specialists and so are looking for an experienced Team Leader to drive the leadership and direction to the aseptic services unit compounding team, enabling the unit to deliver the highest quality product in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
1. Provide leadership and direction and facilitate the management of the UK Limited compounding centre.
2. Develop the compounding centre internally in line with the company policy, building relationships and trust to become the leading Homecare provider.
3. Lead and motivate the operational team and ensure staff are recruited, engaged and trained to the agreed level of competence.
4. Carry out performance data analysis and communicate with all staff.
5. Contribute and participate as an individual and representative of the company in future development and roll out of the company strategy.
6. Achieve the compounding centre operations directives on a daily, monthly and annual basis.
7. Set operational objectives to ensure that activity is delivered on time and to the agreed accredited standard and implement corrective action when deficiencies arise.
8. Implement local and corporate management practices which will enhance the unit’s performance.
9. Manage recruitment, engagement, development, motivation and retention of quality and committed staff.
10. Set high personal and professional standards in line with company policies.
11. Assist in maintaining the Quality Assurance Accreditation Programme, whilst ensuring compliance with the Manufacturing Specials licence and ISO Standards.
12. Attend management meetings as required and be proactive in all aspects of the relevant activity of the customer.
You will have the following qualifications and experience
1. Degree/Diploma/Higher National Certificate HNC (or equivalent qualification).
2. Experience in Aseptic or Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices.
3. Managerial experience with relevant qualification(s).
4. Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
5. Strong knowledge of GMP requirements.
6. Ability to drive process changes through to completion.
7. Excellent organisational and planning skills.
8. Excellent people management skills.
9. Previous management experience.
The setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a pharmaceutical and chemical site. These can include noise, slips, trips and falls (high-gloss floors), mechanical hazards, extreme temperature and humidity, pressurised equipment, radiation, chemical, biological, explosive atmospheres, working at height and confined spaces during cleaning maintenance and repair.
