Job summary We are looking for an experienced doctor who is comfortable working within a strong multidisciplinary team to coordinate care for people with complex needs in a community hospital setting. Main duties of the job Assessment of new admissions to the unit and timely completion of discharge documentation Review of clinical deterioration in patients at the guidance of nursing staff or medical colleagues Supervise trainees and Trust Doctors in your clinical areas Supporting the Senior Doctor team with ward rounds and MDTs - including covering these in event of absence. The post-holder will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring patient care is based on need with services that are accessible and acceptable to patients and carers. The case mix is broad and includes those following orthopaedic surgery, trauma and amputation as well as acute physical illness in older people.
