Behaviour and ASD Mentor with a Sports Background
Location: Vale of Glamorgan | Pay: £13.75/hour (£89.38/day)

A well-regarded SEN school in the Vale of Glamorgan is looking for a dedicated Behaviour and ASD Mentor with a strong sports background to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help students overcome behavioural challenges, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
Your Responsibilities:
* Use sports and physical activities to encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
* Mentor individuals and small groups of students with additional needs.
* Support students in managing behavioural challenges, promoting resilience and coping strategies.
* Work closely with teaching staff to develop tailored behaviour support plans.
* Act as a role model, promoting teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
About You:
* Experience working with young people, ideally in an SEN or educational setting.
* Background in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies (training available).
Requirements:
* Relevant experience in sports coaching or education.
* A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through the agency).
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
