Your Responsibilities As a KS4 Maths Teacher, your primary role will be to plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners. You will:
* Create structured, adaptable lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and expectations.
* Encourage and support students’ social and emotional growth through a role as a tutor, delivering PSHE and fostering a positive, encouraging environment.
* Monitor and assess progress, providing insightful feedback and progress reports to help each student achieve their potential.
* Build strong relationships with students, parents, and carers, crafting personalized Pupil Passports and support plans to guide learning and development.
* Collaborate with professionals and participate in multi-agency meetings, playing an essential role in students' wider needs, safeguarding, and overall wellbeing.
What We're Looking For An ideal candidate for this role will be:
* Experienced and effective in teaching Maths at KS4, with a proven track record of helping students succeed.
* Knowledgeable about SEN and experienced in working with students who may have experienced challenging behaviour or educational setbacks.
* Flexible, patient, and resilient, with a passion for working in a multi-disciplinary team to create the best outcomes for students.
* Committed to professional growth and excited to embrace new ideas, especially in literacy interventions and innovative teaching solutions.
Essential Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Degree in a relevant subject area
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience in a SEN setting or qualifications related to SEND disciplines
* Knowledge of therapeutic teaching methods
