Stock Control/ Stores Assistant

We’re looking for a competent
Stock Control/ Stores Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (Daytime).
Part-time hours would also be considered (minimum of 30 hours per week).
Job description
The Stock Control/ Stores Assistant will help keep control of the stock and generally assist in the running of our busy Stores Department. The right person will have an eye for detail and be accurate and thorough in order to help the stores department run smoothly and efficiently, and will be expected to operate the store front during stores opening hours and respond to any queries and requests from the staff. In addition, the role may involve some travel between company sites (within a 5 mile radius) collecting and delivering components, therefore a driving licence will be required.
Your main duties will include:
· Booking in Materials and Consumables and recording entry on ERP system
· Replenishing consumables shelves and issue materials onto the shop floor
· Control the booking in and out of company tools and organise repairs, servicing or sharpening as needed
· Travel between company sites (within 5 mile radius) collecting and delivering components as and when required
· General housekeeping to ensure all store areas are kept clean and tidy
· Assisting with stock takes
· Processing returns to suppliers
· Provide cover for when other team members are on leave or absent
Essential Skills
· Organised and tidy
· Able to use a computer
· Pro-active and helpful
· Stock control or Warehouse experience is advantageous
· Knowledge of tools and tool repairs is advantageous
· Must have a valid UK driving license.
