A new exciting opportunity is available for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Forge Mill Farm and Sandwell Valley County Park as Countryside and Environment Education and Engagement Coordinator. As part of a small team of three people you will work with our Farm and Countryside Team across Forge Mill Farm, Sandwell Valley Country Park and Sandwell Green Spaces to deliver a programme for school and community visits.
Visits are linked to the National Curriculum or community funded projects covering animal welfare, food, farming, environment, nature, wildlife. Our programmes also focus on personal development through hands-on practical engagement for at-risk young people improving wellbeing and confidence.
You will work with our partners, including colleges, schools, adult education, and internal council teams, to develop and manage relationships that enhance our education offering.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of growing our new and enhanced education offer for Forge Mill Farm and Sandwell Valley and delivering an innovative programme of activities for our residents, schools, and adult education.
You will be:
* Experienced in the delivery of education activity and programmes.
* Experienced and knowledgeable about the requirements of school visits and out of school hours education programmes.
* Passionate about green spaces, countryside and wildlife, and farm animals.
* Experience and knowledge of these areas is desirable, but passion is essential.
You will have:
* Higher education qualification in a relevant subject at Level 4 or above.
* Teaching and/or education training and experience.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check.
