The primary role of Global Internal Audit (GIA) is to help the Board and Executive Management to protect the assets, reputation, and sustainability of the HSBC Group. GIA provides independent and objective assurance over the design and operating effectiveness of the Group’s framework of risk management, control, and governance processes. GIA possesses specialized capabilities and skills through its versatile, inquisitive, and diverse team of global professionals. In this role you will: Perform testing execution on the ongoing Audits within GIA. Critically analyse and determine key drivers of change for area of coverage and assess how these will impact audits. Deliver quality work within the given timeframes, standards, methodology, budget, and best practices. Confirm accuracy of audit results and make sure that findings a clearly understood by stakeholders. Be a proactive team player, who leads by example and works constructively across GIA. To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: Prior experience of working within an Audit /Assurance environment is Desirable Fraud Risk management experience/knowledge is Highly Desirable. Financial Crime experience/knowledge is Desirable. Ability to negotiate and influence challenging Stakeholders. Ability to analyse data and communicate this. A critical thinker with an ability to work towards tight deadlines. This role is based in Birmingham, Hybrid.
