Our mission is to support individuals to live as independently as possible within their own homes or supported living accommodation. We provide personalized care packages including personal care (e.g., showering, dressing, toileting), assistance with medication, meal preparation, companionship, and night settling visits.
Role Overview
As a Home Care Worker, you will visit clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life. Each client is assessed, and care is tailored to their individual needs. Care rounds may require single or double workers depending on the complexity of care needs. Shifts and times vary based on the area you work in.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Deliver personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and support with mobility
* Assist with administering medication and supporting with mealtime needs
* Offer companionship and support with social outings and community participation
* Provide support to individuals living in supported living accommodation
* Complete daily logs and reports in line with policies and procedures
* Work in accordance with Health and Social Care Standards (Scotland) and relevant legislation
* Maintain high standards of care while ensuring client dignity, respect, and choice are always preserved
* Minimum 3 months of experience working in the health and social care sector within the UK
* Demonstrated understanding of working in accordance with the Health and Social Care Standards in Scotland
* Knowledge of relevant policies and legislation
* A compassionate, reliable, and professional attitude
* Valid right to work in the UK (unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor international workers for this role)
* Full driving license and access to your own car
Additional Requirements:
* Successful candidates must apply to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme through Disclosure Initial cost: £59, with a £18 update every 2 years.
* New staff must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of You must be willing to work towards achieving an SVǪ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care to meet SSSC registration requirements.
