About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan.
Role Overview
You will work as part of a team to oversee the work of Workforce Operatives from the moment they start on site, through to the project conclusion. This role will ensure all policies and procedures surrounding Workforce are followed not just by the Operatives but by the MEH Alliance team and delivery partners, under the guidance of the Workforce and Manager. The role will also work closely with other departments within the MEH Alliance such as Onboarding/Training/HR/Payroll
teams.
5 days per week on site with the possibility of occasional working from the
project offices in Bridgwater or remotely.
What you'll be doing
As aWorkforce Co-ordinator, you will have the following responsibilities,
* Support Workforce Manager in all project works.
* Support with Workforce day-to-day activities (New starters first week
activities, placement of workforce operatives, etc)
* Manage the Workforce Operative Tracker, to ensure this is kept up to date
at all times.
* Assist in providing Workforce Operative reports, as and when required.
* Working closely with MEH Superintendents & Supervisors to ensure their
compliance with MEH Workforce Processes and Policies.
* Support with Workforce audits (internal and external) when required.
* Work closely with the payroll team, to support an effective payroll and
time recording process is maintained.
* Work closely with the Resource team to ensure a smooth transition for
new starters to the project.
* Assist with working closely with the HR and L&D Teams on any Workforce
issues/concerns.
* Assist with promoting a positive Nuclear Safety Culture
* Flag any potential Workforce issues or risks arising.
Who we're looking for
Do you have?
* Previous HR / Co-ordination or workforce Experience
* CIPD Level 3 or Level 3 CertRP or working towards would be desired but not essential.
* Strong Administration / Co-ordination skills
* Previous experience in a construction environment would be a benefit.
* Ability to gain a security clearance.
