Referment is working with a digital assets technology firm who have recently opened an Application Security Engineer role in London. They have recently secured a significant sum of funding and are now looking to expand their technology team as they move into new markets and products.

The successful Application Security Engineer will work closely with the developers to embed new security measures and tooling across all of their applications and platforms and as such, should have a software engineering background (ideally Java). The company is building all of their technology using the latest Cloud technology with applications hosted on Kubernetes and deployed using Terraform, so strong Cloud security and DevOps experience is required.
This is a chance to join a small, growing business that is well funded and breaking into a new area of digital assets. You will get to work on a number of Greenfield projects and with the latest technologies, for a company where Security is viewed as highly important and crucial to the growth of the business.
Key Requirements
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in application security, product security or a closely related field with a focus on application and cloud security.
* Ideally experienced working with Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD and development languages such as Java and Python.
* Proven expertise in application and product security engineering, including threat modelling, cloud security, secure coding and penetration testing.
* Experienced working in regulated environments and implementing security controls aligned with SOC2, SOC1, and ISO27001.
* Experienced in integrating security into the SDLC, managing vulnerabilities, and tuning security controls such as WAFs.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
