Job Description
It's an exciting time to join our People Service Delivery Team, as we look to improve upon the excellent service and processes we already provide which underpin the onboarding journey for new colleagues. The People Service Delivery Team Manager is responsible for leading a team that has end to end accountability for some of our key People processes for new starters, including referencing, vetting, and initiation.
Responsibilities
1. Maintaining oversight, management, and responsibility of key referencing, vetting, and initiation tasks and teams, ensuring full completion of candidates' referencing requirements in line with CAA guidelines, including compliance checks and audit controls.
2. Ensuring that candidates receive a high-quality onboarding experience and are kept engaged throughout our processes.
3. Looking for ways to continually improve operational effectiveness and be an advocate for continual process improvement.
4. Building and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders and, where necessary, influencing key decisions to ensure best-in-class service delivery.
5. Being accountable for ensuring all agreed controls are in effect and evidenced (CAA, audit, and internal).
Qualifications
1. Demonstrable experience of leading, coaching, and motivating large teams.
2. Evidence of implementing high-impact continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Reflective with the demonstrable ability to adapt self or others to embrace change and deliver results.
4. Strong communication skills with a demonstrable track record of excellent stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence recommendations and decisions.
5. Ability to master new systems and adapt to and utilize technology quickly.
6. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment while able to self-manage and meet timeframes.
Ideally, you'll also have:
1. An analytical mindset and appetite to solve problems and motivate a team to do so.
2. Ability to gather, coordinate, and present complex data to drive business decisions in a rational, succinct, and clear way that drives decision-making and business change.

Working location
Your contractual place of work will be the Heathrow Business Services Centre in Glasgow, so you'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to work.
We also have some hybrid roles with a working approach that offers the opportunity for colleagues to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process.

About the Team
Join Heathrow's Business Services team and you'll help us deliver our bold ambitions while supporting colleagues to achieve theirs.
Our team is involved in every element of People and Finance activity. That includes payroll, casework, referencing and onboarding, through to billing, paying suppliers, and month-end activities. It's up to us to lead, support, and deliver an excellent service across our core processes including Managing Revenue; Procurement; Project and Asset Management; Finance Processes; People Processes.
Our Business Services teams focus on three areas: Systems and Transformation, Service Delivery, and Business Intelligence.
