Senior Planner (Welsh Speaking)

An opportunity for a Senior Planner role in St Asaph that requires Welsh speaking is an exciting opportunity for someone with expertise in planning and fluency in Welsh. St Asaph is a lovely city in North Wales, and being able to communicate in Welsh can be a valuable asset, especially for local planning projects and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning and Development: Lead and manage planning projects, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with local communities, businesses, and government agencies to gather input and feedback on planning initiatives.
3. Policy Analysis: Analyse local, regional, and national planning policies to inform decision-making and strategy development.
4. Project Management: Oversee planning projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
5. Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior planners and other team members.
Qualifications:
6. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Architecture, or a related field.
7. Minimum of 5 years of experience in urban or regional planning.
8. Professional certification or licensure in planning (e.g., RTPI) is desirable.
9. Fluent in Welsh and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
