We currently have an exciting opportunity for a career-minded individual to join our team at Thames Water as a Maintenance Coordinator.
You will be responsible for managing all Tideway Tunnel outages for inspection and maintenance. The London Tideway Tunnels have a London wide asset base, reaching from Acton in the west to Abbey Mills and Beckton in the east.
* This role is based at Beckton STW and will involve travel to other sites across London to perform this role.
* 36 hours per week Monday – Friday 07:30-15:30
* Permanent, full time
* We are offering a salary up to £46,000 depending on skills and experience.
What you will be doing as a Maintenance Coordinator?
The Tideway Tunnel is a multi-billion-pound project designed to prevent storm sewage from discharging to the River Thames. The project is well under construction and will be commissioned in a year’s time. Preparations for the maintenance of the system are underway by the deliverer, and preparations are now also required for the preparation of maintenance by Thames Water.
* The role will require managing all aspects of a system-wide outage.
* Planning and liaison with key parties and stakeholders to provide a coordinated outage.
* Planning enabling works for outages.
* Working with others to develop solutions to optimise any outages.
* Working as part of multi-disciplinary project/ operational teams, in accordance with project or service delivery procedures.
* Reporting outage KPIs and ensure quality standards are met wrt maintenance.
* Liaison with external stakeholders to confirm activities meet permit requirements.
* Act as Maintenance Champion for TWUL on London Tideway Tunnel maintenance.
What should you bring to the role?
* Significant relevant industry experience would be beneficial.
* Ability to lead people from different teams in achieving a combined goal.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Maintenance experience – mechanical/electrical or ICA.
* Minimum ONC/HNC in mechanical/electrical/ICA/engineering.
* Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
* You will need to be competent in using IT equipment/systems and be able to interpret complex Excel spreadsheets.
* Able to demonstrate a strong focus on continuous improvement.
