ABOUT THE ROLE
I’m currently working with a dedicated children provider seeking a dynamic Head of Complex Trauma Children’s Homes to lead the strategic growth of a brand-new region across the Midlands. You will be responsible for the development and operational delivery of 7–10 therapeutic children’s homes, each tailored to support young people with complex trauma backgrounds.
This is a rare opportunity to build your own team, shape the region’s culture, and influence the design of services from the very start. As we continue to grow, there is significant potential to expand into education services, with the full support and investment from a forward-thinking and values-driven provider.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the opening and development of multiple children’s homes across the Midlands.
* Recruit, develop, and inspire a team of exceptional Registered Managers and care professionals.
* Ensure all services meet and exceed Ofsted standards, with a trauma-informed, therapeutic ethos at the core.
* Contribute to strategic planning and long-term growth of the region.
* Build strong partnerships with local authorities, safeguarding boards, and other stakeholders.
* Drive continuous improvement, compliance, and a strong safeguarding culture.
* Oversee budgets and ensure high-quality, efficient service delivery.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Proven senior leadership in an multi-site capacity ( 5 or more homes ) experience within children’s residential care (preferably complex trauma-focused).
* A deep understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed practice.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and Ofsted frameworks.
* Excellent communication, people, and operational management skills.
* Passion for innovation and service development.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) or equivalent.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
