As a Management Accountant, you'll work within our Finance team where this is a unique career-move to meet the needs of a complex organisation that is going through rapid growth within an evolving industry. As a Management Accountant, you'll play a significant role by owning the month end Management Accounts process for City Plumbing branches. The Management Accountant will be supported by two Finance Analysts and you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance, efficiency and delivery of a robust set of management accounts for our City Plumbing branch network.

Key Responsibilities:
* Accountable for the management and production of all aspects of the Management Accounts across the Specialist Business Units (DHS, NSS, Spares (Branches) and PTS Ireland) including production of the monthly P&L, flash report, balance sheet reconciliations and uploading results.
* Supporting the production of the budget and reforecasts for the SBUs at the key reporting dates.
* Submission of government reporting, including VAT, ROI VAT, and Intrastat.
* Preparing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure strong internal controls.
* Liaising with and supporting the FP&A reporting team with monthly balance sheet and P&L information.
* Delivering weekly sales and trading margin reports to the wider business.
* Providing financial modeling and analysis as needed.
* Developing bespoke reports to bring insight and impact analysis to the forefront.
* Accounting support on ad hoc reporting/projects as required.
This is a hybrid-based opportunity with true flexibility to work from home, but you should be within commutable distance of our newly refurbished offices in Crick, Northamptonshire.
Qualifications:
* Experience of financial controls and management accounts reporting.
* Strong people management skills, able to aspire and develop those around you.
* Analytically-minded with experience of or desire to work alongside senior stakeholders.
* Commercial experience in financial modelling (reporting, budgets, month-end etc).
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with excellent time-management.
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: ACCA, CIMA, ACA, Assistant Management Accountant, Building Products, Construction, Finance Assistant, Finance BP, Finance Graduate, Finance Manager, Finance Analyst, Financial Analyst, Google Sheets, IT Finance, Junior Finance Analyst, Management Accountant.
