We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of: Manager Private Assets
This role is to provide technical accounting oversight to UK private assets. This will cover multiple fund ranges from Authorised Contractual Schemes, Property Authorised Investment Funds, segregated mandates, insurance funds and Special Purpose Vehicle structures.
In this role you will:
1. Provide expertise to accounting requirements across the asset class and fund jurisdictions.
2. Ensure that any interpretation of requirements is understood and implemented robustly.
3. Assist with new technology repercussions of integrating these asset classes within operational mode.
4. Develop and maintain a good working relationship with client contacts and third parties such as audit firms and external technology providers.
5. Continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
1. Qualified Accountant.
2. Relevant managerial experience in financial services- preferably in Private assets, Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Debt, Or Infrastructure.
3. Experience of dealing directly with external clients and third parties.
4. Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
5. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
6. Ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines, considering relative priorities.
7. Strong business sense and awareness of the key issues/risks within the Fund Administration area.
This role is based in Edinburgh.
