Talent-UK are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager on behalf of their client, which is a successful security system supplier in the Hull area on a permanent basis.
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the lifecycle of installations, upgrades, and maintenance projects. This role requires technical expertise, strong leadership skills and a good understanding of project management principles.
Main responsibilities:
* Develop comprehensive project plans: Outline project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, progress tracking and resource requirements.
* Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
* Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
* Prepare and submit project documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M system manuals.
* Management of cost items against budget (owned and others) to ensure no cost over runs occur. If they do, be able to provide definitive explanations.
* Survey potential work and provide commercially viable quotations in line with the company’s expected Gross Profit expectations and who/what/where the work is to be undertaken.
* Meet with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements.
* Provide, upon request, Project budget reports for the Finance teams.
* Cost Variance Review – work with the Finance team to review budgeted costs versus actual costs incurred, analysing, and understanding any positive or negative variances.
Qualifications/ Skills required:
* Strong understanding of fire and security systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
* Strong understanding of Data infrastructure cabling systems, including copper, fibre optic and wireless.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards and guidelines, Risk assessment and Method statements.
* Proficiency in project management methodologies, such as PRINCE2 or PMP
* Ability to identify and resolve issues.
* Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.
