We are looking to recruit an Electrical Improver to work alongside our electrical installation, maintenance, and compliance teams looking after residential property. The role You will assist our Electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and under supervision, carry out tasks such as: Initial Investigating, troubleshooting of, faults and problems (non-intrusive) Electrical based compliance Substation monitoring Emergency lighting testing and minor repair Lamp replacement Battery replacement Minor remedial repairs Assisting Electricians with Rewiring & similar installations You must have relevant work experience of electrical maintenance, repair, installation and fitting a minimum GCSE pass (or equivalent qualification) in Maths, English or a technical subject City and Guilds 2368 Electrical Installation Level 2 (or similar) NVQ Electrical Installation Level 2 (or similar) Due to the geographical spread of buildings on campus a significant amount of walking will be required, and a driving licence is preferred in case of driving between sites. Further information Workshop hours are from 08:15 - 16:45 Monday-Thursday, and 08:15 - 15.45 on a Friday, with potential for flexibility as agreed with your line manager.
