B aker y Supervisor, WatchHouse. The Bakery Supervisor at WatchHouse plays a vital role in delivering our food vision through consistent, high-quality production. This hands-on role suits someone who thrives in a structured, process-led environment, with strong attention to detail and a passion for quality, consistency, and provenance. Reporting to the Bakery Manager and Assistant Manager, the Supervisor follows the daily production plan and takes ownership of day-to-day operations. They are responsible for organising the production schedule, ensuring all products are made to specification, and that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. As a key leader in the bakery, the Supervisor is also accountable for maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, supporting team development, and fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement. They are involved in training and supporting bakers and bakery assistants, while also developing their own skills in line with WatchHouse standards. Directly reports into (Line Manager ): Bakery Manager Key Responsibilities: This is a hands- on and hands- in role, following and make sure everyone follows the production process and recipes to en sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Make sure product quality is maintained and that all items are being produced to the correct recipe and product specification, ensuring consistency across all product lines. Train bakers and bakery assistant s to ensure all o rders are produced to specification and dispatched correctly. Bakery stock management, ensuring all items required are either ordered or on the order list for the assistant head baker whilst avoiding wastage. Bakery compliance, ensuring work practices compl y with Health and Safety legislation and that safe food practices are always being carried out. The role in more detail: Ensure bakery is properly resourced and equipped to maintain an efficient operation. Designate team members according to the daily production schedule. Support the bakery manager with training new team members, as necessary. Maintain a positive, well developed and engaged team who are willing to go the extra mile to provide excellent service standards Keep working equipment safe and good order whilst ensuring any maintenance issues are dealt with swiftly. Ensure teams are using the daily Trail log correctly and to their benefit. Set and uphold standards for hygiene and cleaning, ensure that cleaning rotas are managed correctly. Work closely with the bakery manager to successfully launch new products to a high-quality standard Oversee the team to guarantee products are consistently produced, ensuring recipes are followed and specifications are adhered to. Key to this role: Passion for food and a commitment to delivering top-quality products. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to provide feedback and hold teams accountable. Level 3 Food Hygiene (or completion by probation) and HACCP knowledge to ensure compliance. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and support team well-being. Keen attention to detail to maintain product consistency and specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong understanding of recipe scaling, adherence, and investigation of any discrepancies. Experience in stock management, including variance investigation and cost control.
