Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading Telecommunications company who are currently looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis. The company seeks a candidate to provide hands-on IT support, ensure seamless service delivery, manage hardware and software, and assist with cybersecurity and infrastructure maintenance for internal and customer systems. Key Responsibilities Preparing laptops and desktops per company or customer specifications, ensuring compliance with security policies and accreditation standards. Ensuring the efficient operation and regular updates of desktop systems, monitoring performance and usage while addressing hardware/software obsolescence. Manage and maintain on-site audiovisual equipment such as projectors and video conferencing tools. Work in line with the organisation’s cybersecurity policies. Handle the setup and configuration of hardware (such as IP phones, mobile devices, workstations, peripherals) and software, troubleshooting any technical problems that arise. Help manage and support designated customer IT infrastructure and networks. Assist internal users by diagnosing and resolving issues, maintaining ownership of problems until resolution, keeping users updated on progress, and ensuring all issues are logged in the Service Desk system. Liaise with third-party vendors when additional support is needed to resolve IT problems. Participate in the on-call IT support rota, responding to urgent matters, including both remote troubleshooting and on-site support for the company and customer networks as necessary.
