Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be expected to provide the delivery of high-quality specialist oncology care for patients on the oncology inpatient ward, demonstrating essential specialist nursing skills to meet the needs of patients with oncology conditions/diseases. The post-holder will provide expert clinical and leadership functions in the assessment of care needs for the oncology population/client group, emphasizing care delivery and management of the inpatient service. The post-holder will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team, demonstrating essential specialist nursing skills to meet patient needs. Responsibilities include the development, implementation, and evaluation of care programs in the ward care setting, as well as coordinating and participating in health education and specialist treatments for patients attending the ward.
