As one of the largest performance door set manufacturers and architectural hardware suppliers in the UK, we provide bespoke Door Suites made onsite in our factory located in North Wales.
As part of our continued growth plan for 2025, we are currently looking for a client focused, proactive and confident Project Manager, with experience of working within either the construction or manufacturing industries to join our team in our Head Office in East Kilbride.
You should have experience of working with teams in successfully delivering planned construction or manufacturing projects as well as possessing commercial acumen and experience of managing all commercial aspects when managing multiple projects.
You'll need to be technically competent, very customer focused, willing to learn and able to use your communication and influencing skills to engage with clients, inhouse teams, production teams and delivery teams on site, ensuring all projects are delivered timely, safely, within budget and to an exceptional standard of quality.
You should also be an excellent communicator, capable of lateral thinking when needed and comfortable providing practical advice to both clients and colleagues.
Due to the need for an onsite presence at our East Kilbride office, only candidates living within a reasonably commutable distance will be considered for this position.
There may also be some UK based travel required for this role.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure RFI’s are sent out and responses obtained promptly
* Obtain site programmes and adhere to delivery timescales
* Manage projects from order stage through to delivery
* Frequent site visits to ensure client expectations are being met
* Collate technical information and share with clients when required
* Create constant dialogue with our clients and stakeholders
* Weekly reporting on all project’s status
* Collaboration with teams across Sales, Estimating, Procurement, Production and Logistics
* Raise any NCR’s and follow through where necessary
* Work with our production function to ensure on time deliveries
* Work closely with Estimators to understand technical elements of projects
* Sanity checking of all work
* Managing a variety of projects at any one time, from handover to completion
* Attending meetings with clients and building positive long-lasting relationships
* Liaise with Sales, Procurement and Logistics departments to ensure all projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standard
Skills and Experience:
* Experience within door set manufacturing or architectural hardware would be considered desirable though not essential
* Knowledge and experience of the construction or manufacturing industry
* Experience of working with an MRP system or similar Supply/Resource Planning software
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse data and propose solutions
* Highly effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to clients
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and resourceful approach to quality assurance
