Chief Commercial Officer
This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious commercial leader with a track record of success in developing new business with NHS entities.
Our client are on a mission to reduce NHS waiting lists by providing specialist clinical services which expand capacity. Their deserved reputation for operational excellence has led to significant growth. This Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) role has been created to shape and deliver the next phase of their journey including an expansion of their range of clinical specialities and the development of new relationships within the NHS.
You'll have the opportunity to shape the evolution of the organisation, taking the lead to develop and implement the commercial and business development strategy to maintain their rapid growth.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy
* Business Development: Build and lead a high-performing business development team
* Market Expansion: Explore and execute strategies to enter new clinical areas
* Partnerships & Alliances: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance market position and drive business growth.
* Revenue Growth: Own and drive the revenue generation process
* Client Relationships: Maintain and deepen relationships with key NHS stakeholders and other partners, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
* Team Leadership: Develop, lead and mentor the commercial and business development teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Qualifications
* Significant experience in a senior commercial or business development role
* Experience of providing services to the NHS
* Proven success in driving significant revenue growth and scaling businesses.
* Strong understanding of NHS procurement and tendering processes.
* Experience in building and leading high-performing teams with a proven ability to inspire, mentor, and drive cultural alignment during growth.
* Good financial literacy
* Skilled in negotiating and structuring commercial agreements.
* Strong relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders, particularly within the NHS.
* Proven track record in building and maintaining long-term key client relationships
* Degree in business, finance, or related field preferred, significant relevant experience is an acceptable alternative
Note, the role is based at our client's office in Redditch, so it's essential that you're able to commute there each day. There will also be occasional travel to client sites, so you'll need a full driving license.
